Dining Privileges

Members of the Darwin Society can book meals at guest rates on 30 occasions per quarter. For a sample of this week's menu please check the Catering menu.

Reunion Dinners

Any Reunion Dinners will be included in the Alumni Calendar.

Darwin Society Events

On Graduation, all students become members of The Darwin Society. The Darwin Society hold a dinner every term and a garden party alternate years. For more information on dates and booking details please check the Alumni Calendar.

The Darwinian Magazine

The Darwin Society produces The Darwinian yearly. It is mailed to all alumni. If you have not received a recent copy, it may be that we do not have your most up to date details. To update your details please fill out the Alumni Update Survey.

Darwin Lecture Series

Darwin College runs an extremely successful annual open lecture programme. These run on Friday evenings from late January to the middle of March. Everyone is welcome. To view books, published by the Cambridge University Press on all past lecture series, click here.

Functions

Alumni are very welcome to hire College function rooms for meetings or events. Anyone wishing to reserve the Old Library or Seminar rooms in College or Number One Newnham Terrace should contact the Bursar's Secretary. There will be a charge for the hire of these rooms. Price on application. Please e-mail the Bursar's Secretary.

Accommodation

Alumni can book guest rooms at a cost of £30.00 per person per night. Larger en-suite rooms cost £35.00 for the first night and £25.00 for subsequent nights. These rooms can be booked for between 3 and 5 days. A continental breakfast is available at a daily charge of £3.25. Breakfast is not provided on a Sunday morning. If you wish to book a room, please contact the Accommodation Office, giving as much notice as possible.

Punting

For an annual membership fee of only £20.00, old members resident in Cambridge can join the Darwin College Punting Club. If you live further afield the Punting Club run a pay-per-outing system. Further details are available here.
