FEESIt should be noted that both College and University Fees are payable. These Fees are for tuition/supervision and College membership; they do not pay for housing, meals or personal expenses (for the full financial provision required, see the information issued by the Student Registry). This page was most recently updated with fees for the 2011/2012 academic year. College Fees
Those few students with degrees, who are nevertheless classified as Undergraduates by the Higher Education Funding Council, are charged a College fee of £4695 per annum. For publicly funded undergraduates, the fee will be paid direct to the College by the Funding Council via the University. The Establishment Charge helps towards the general running expenses of the College. University FeesThe University Composition Fee is in addition to College Fees: it is collected by the College on behalf of the University and contributes to the cost of Departmental facilities. The rate of University Composition Fee payable by each student is determined by the Student Registry, dependent on the type of Degree for which the student is entered, and on their residence status and/or their nationality. Different Fees are charged for the four broad categories of: Graduate, Undergraduate, residents of the European Union, and Overseas students. The definition of each of these broad categories is complicated; for further information, consult the Dean. It should be noted that the definition of "Arts", "Science" and "Clinical" are also complicated; for further information consult the Dean. For current fee rates, please see the graduate fees and undergraduate fees pages on the Student Registry website. Special Fee rates, and/or arrangements, exist for the following courses: MBA, MEd, PGCE Articled Teacher Scheme, Modern and Medieval Languages Tripos, Oriental Studies Tripos, and Diploma in Public Health (part-time), as well as for students from the Channel Isles, and Isle of Man; these rates are available from the College Accountant. Grant-giving bodies will normally pay the individual’s College and University Fees direct to the College. Students must ensure that the College Accountant is informed in writing about who is paying the Fees. Fees for partial residence. If a student is in residence on - or beyond - the Division of Term, Fees are charged for the whole term. Grant Cheques. Where applicable these are issued from the College Accountant’s office. Most grants are payable every quarter, and are available for collection around the beginning of October, and after the 3rd day of January, April and July. |
