CLUB HISTORY
Darwin College BasketBall Club (DCBBC) was founded in October 1994, and is one of the most successful sports club in Darwin. Every year we take part in two Cambridge University inter-collegial competitions, the League (during the Michaelmas and Lent terms) and the Cuppers (during the Easter term). The Cuppers is the more prestigious of the two, because all teams are allowed to take part, regardless of what division they are in and how many Blues players there are in any one team.
Originally, both men and women took part in the same team, in May 2000 the women's team was founded. The teams, men's and women's, have been given the names Dragons and Dinosaurs respectively. The Dinosaurs compete in the inter-collegial women's league which is hosted by the Cambridge University Women's Basketball Club, and has won the first-ever league championship in season 00-01.
Our records in the past seasons are as follows:

Apart from these two competitive
squads, we also have a mixed recreational group for people who just
want to have some fun and don't want to get too serious. All levels
are welcome and coaching will be provided for beginners. For details,
please contact the club committee.
