Rowed over
This was an epic row and will be remembered:
Our starts are pretty solid, but today we started as good as it gets. The result was an early whistle on Homerton. Quickly we settled into a solid Darwin rhythm and gained more and more on Homerton. About half the way towards first post corner we were six inches away from giving Homerton the deserved place in the bumps charts: below us. But a shockingly shoddy rowing Emma2 called for a stride which made them even slower and allowed Homerton bumping them much too easy. The unavoidable happened: we bumped into Homerton and strokes blade got caught under their bow which resulted in a total stop of our boat. Luckily the boat that was chasing was us just a spacky FaT M3 not anywhere near us.
New race plan: overbump. We started off again and were running after seven strokes at full speed again. With each stroke we were gaining six inches on Pembroke M2. However before we were able to get even close to them, they bumped Downing M2 and we were just left with a solid row over leaving FaT M3 way behind. On Thursday there is no doubt that we will push into Emmanuel M2. The question is just were before first post we are going to bump them. The following days we will either bump the victims of Homerton or get another change on Homerton themselves. And then we will not let them bump out again! It will be payback time this year. Darwin's year!

Bumped Emmanuel II (See video)
Pretty quick after the start we had the first whistle on Emmanuel M2 and settled into 43 strokes per minutes reeling them in. Under the motorway bridge we had massive overlap with Emmanuel M2 but they just did not want to concede. However once our bow ball reached their 5 man they finally gave up. Probably the fastest bump today and as predicted by Fat3: we made mincemeat out of them. Tomorrow Downing M2 will need a miracle to escape the mean rowing machine Darwin M1.

Bumped Downing II (See video)
Today we had a clinical row, bumping into Downing M2 right after the motorway bridge. We settled at 41 strokes per minute and it felt so nice and smooth that I have no doubt that we are going to have a great row tomorrow again.
