Rowing is the perfect sport to keep you fit, train your endurance, main muscle groups and cardiovascular system. DCBC has specific training programms for the individual levels of rowing in the club. Besides on-water training, which is mainly in the morning, DCBC organizes regular circuit training in the Fenners circuits gym. Boats usually organize group erg training as well as running and other cross-training. Depending on which level you want to row at you will have two or three training sessions up to a daily training routine if you want to row for the first boats.
Facilities
For our training we use mainly three training facilities:
- Pembroke(Darwin) Boathouse (Ergs and Boats)
- Fenners University Gym (Ergs and weights gym, circuits gym)
- Darwin College Gym (Ergs and weights gym)
NEW Erg booking system:
From now on DCBC will use a new online Erg booking system to shedule training sessions on the ergs in Darwin Gym. You can sign up for sessions here.
