1964 - 2024

2024 marks the 60th anniversary of the foundation of Darwin College.

Created in 1964 as the first solely postgraduate College of the University of Cambridge, it was also the first College to admit both men and women, and from its outset provided an inclusive, egalitarian and international environment for study and research.

Over the course of this year we look forward to sharing the stories of some of the earliest Darwin members, and to celebrating the College’s first 60 years, as it continues to help shape the future.

Alumni and friends of the College are invited to join us for a weekend of celebrations on 5th-7th July.

Full details will be listed on this page.
