Thank you to the Darwin University Challenge team for providing something for us all to look forward to on the far side of Christmas! The quizzers will return to the small screen on Monday 6th January for their second-round match, so wherever you’ll be, prepare to cheer them on.
In the meantime, team captain Harrison Whitaker (PhD Film Studies 2021-24)) finds himself on the other side of the interrogation, having been employed by the programme’s makers as a Question Writer and Casting Researcher. His first questions will be posed over the next fortnight, in the 2024 Christmas episodes.
“It’s thrilling — and a bit strange — to go from answering questions on one series to writing them for the next!” Harrison says.
“I just hope that I can play some small part in future contestants and teams having as much fun on the show as I did with Darwin.”
