Congratulations on behalf of the whole College community to Professor Anne Ferguson-Smith, who has been appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to Medical Research in the King’s Birthday Honours List.
A longstanding Fellow of Darwin, Anne is Arthur Balfour Professor of Genetics, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and International Partnerships, Fellow of the Royal Society and President of the Genetics Society. Until December 2020 she served as Head of the University of Cambridge Department of Genetics.
Anne will be Jim Al-Khalili’s guest on tomorrow morning’s episode of Radio 4’s The Life Scientific, when she will discuss epigenetics, and a lifetime of discovery.
