Darwin Law students enjoyed a tour of the Royal Courts of Justice last week, at the invitation of the College Visitor, the Lady Chief Justice Baroness Carr.

The group was accompanied by the Bursar, John Dix – himself a lawyer by background as well as Director of Studies for the College’s LLM and MCL students – and the Dean, Dr Duncan Needham.

Baroness Carr, an alumna of Trinity College, talked to the visiting students about her role and the issues facing the judiciary, before responding to questions. A member of her staff then took the group around the building, which was opened by Queen Victoria in 1882.
