Step 3: Print your document
At this point, you need to pop into the printing room to release your printing job.
a. Printing black-and-white
If you have printed a black-and-white document, your job will have gone to one of the two small printers.
First, scan your University Card using the small card scanner next to the screen near the small printers.
The screen will now bring up your print job.
(If the screen is ‘asleep’, simply touch the screen to wake it up.)
Press Print if you want to continue.
You can also cancel the print at this point.
Now, either one of the printers will now ‘wake’ up.
Your job will now print.
b. Printing in colour, or printing from a College computer
These printing jobs will have been sent to the large colour printer.
Touch the screen to ‘wake’ it up.
The screen will now instruct you to scan your University Card.
This is done by holding your card over the label found below the screen.
You will hear a beep when your card has been scanned.
Your print job/s will now appear on the screen.
Click the box next to the job that you’d like to print.
If you’d like to print in greyscale or print 2-sided, you can do so by clicking the boxes at the bottom of the screen.
Finally, click on the blue Print button at the bottom right of the screen.
Your printing job will now be released and printed.
TIP: It may take a few seconds before it starts to print – be patient!
