Saturday 9 May – Darwin College Boat Club: Bumps and Dinner
This year we are celebrating 50 years of women’s rowing at Darwin! Celebrations will be held in Darwin College on the 9th of May, with rowing on the Cam and a three course formal dinner to follow. We are excited to have you all back to relive your days of rowing with DCBC, sharing your stories of bumps and outings that were!

Saturday 9 May – Darwin College Football Association Student and Alumni Dinner
Tuesday 9 June – Sustainability Network Event, London
Alumni, Fellows, and students are warmly invited to Darwin College’s first Sustainability Network event, to be held in London.This inaugural gathering will bring together members of the Darwin community with a shared interest in sustainability, offering an opportunity to reconnect, exchange ideas, and build new professional connections across sectors and generations.
Friday 19 June – Alumni and Fellows Formal Hall
Join us for the termly Alumni and Fellows Formal Hall on Friday 19 June. Partners and guests are also warmly invited. The evening will start with pre-dinner drinks in the Parlour at 7pm. A four-course dinner will be served at 7.30pm. Coffee and after-dinner drinks will follow in the Richard King Room.

Monday 22 June – Alumni Reception in Zurich, Switzerland
Alumni and friends of Darwin are warmly invited to join the Master, Dr Mike Rands, and Darwin alumnus Michael Blank for an evening at the Ruderclub Zürich, featuring a drinks reception, fireside conversation, and barbecue.
Sunday 12 July 2026 – Annual Alumni Family Garden Party
As Dr Mike Rands prepares to step down from the role of Master, we would be delighted to welcome you and your family to the annual Alumni Garden Party and an opportunity to bid him farewell. Join us in the beautiful Darwin gardens for a relaxed summer celebration, to reconnect with old friends and celebrate Dr Rands’ significant part in Darwin’s development.
Light refreshments and traditional afternoon tea will be served throughout the afternoon.
Guests of all ages are warmly invited to attend, and lawn games, face-painting, and a range of family-friendly activities will be available to keep everyone entertained.
Saturday 19 September – ‘Origins: Thinking About the Darwins as a Scientific Dynasty’
As part of the Alumni Festival (18-20 September), Darwin College is delighted to welcome Dr Edwin Rose for a special lecture exploring the history and legacy of one of Britain’s most distinguished scientific families.
Time: 5:45- 6:45pm
Where: Little Hall, Sidgwick Site
Seventy-five complimentary places have been reserved for Darwin College alumni, though the lecture is open to all alumni attending the Festival.
Saturday 19 September – Annual Alumni Reunion Dinner
We are delighted to invite alumni and their guests to a special Reunion Dinner at College. This memorable evening offers the perfect opportunity to reconnect with friends, share stories, and celebrate milestone anniversaries together in the place where it all began.
Whether it has been ten years or sixty, we look forward to welcoming you back and raising a glass to your time at Darwin College and all that has followed since. Spouses and guests are warmly welcome.

Saturday 17 October: Darwinians Making a Difference: How Charities can Respond to Global Challenges
Join us to explore how Darwinians are creating and working with NGOs and charities to support international development and respond to global challenges. Students, alumni, and Fellows are invited to come together for an evening of conversation and connection.
The Master, Dr Mike Rands, will chair the discussion.
